About
Silkfalsetto is a clothing company known for its sleek designs and trends.
It combines the elements of two passions, music and fashion. Dessaka Lockhart and Naomi Miller are the founders behind it all. With over 20 years of friendship and a passion to design custom garments for everyone regardless of size or shape, in 2009 Silkfalsetto was launched.

“My love for different genres of music and fashion inspire me most. Sewing runs in my family and came as a natural skill. I love all fashion, but specialize in women apparel such as business attire, formal gowns, and costumes.
My family are constantly pushing me and encourage me to never give up on my dreams and to dream bigger!”
Dessaka Lockhart
Dessaka Lockhart, the seamstress, was born in Pageland, South Carolina. At a young age she developed a passion for fashion and music. She wrote numerous songs and even performed in girls group. Dessaka shared her input for fashion initially concerning the appearance of the group. She styled the group and even designed garments to create a unique sense of style. Continuing her love for music Dessaka toured the world with several bands as well as with celebrity artists. With each show she received recognition for the garments she designed and wore during her performance.
Dessaka served as a consultant for numerous bridal boutiques, where she perfected her skills in alterations and needlework. Later enrolling at Bauder College in Atlanta, Dessaka studied fashion design and enhanced her seamstress skills.
